CARGRAPHIC Sport rear silencer for Porsche 718 Boxster Spyder 4,0l

The CARGRAPHIC Sport rear silencer program offers various retrofit solutions for the acoustic and visual upgrading of the original exhaust system for the Porsche 718 Spyder with 4.0l 6 cylinder Boxer engine.

In order to meet the different customer requirements and the respective application purposes, we have decided to develop and offer 3 different rear silencer concepts:

CLUBSPORT / TOURING version - The all-round model with separated exhaust flow:

The TOURING silencer is, due to its large-volume, triangular silencer construction and its special acoustic resonator, by far the "all-rounder" in the CARGRAPHIC product family - developed for stress-free travelling over long distances with pleasant background noise, thanks to the complete absence of annoying droning or resonance noises. Yet the ability to experience, during active driving, the unfiltered, powerful sound of the exhaust stream, with the valves open, directly from the dual-flow OPF outlets into the tailpipes. Unrestricted driving is also possible under full load with permanently closed exhaust valves in conjunction with our 3-mode control.

SUPER SOUND PLUS: With the exhaust valves open, the loudest, most aggressive version, as both exhaust streams 63.50mm/2.5" and 50.80mm/2" flow non silenced into the tailpipes
SOUND: With closed exhaust valves 50.80mm / 2" silenced pipe routing through silencer.

Version TRACK / COMPETITION - For the racetrack with silenced and non silenced separated exhaust flow:

The TRACK / COMPETITION silencer, in conjunction with our 3-mode exhaust valve control, has been specially developed for use on race tracks with particularly restrictive noise limits. Both inlet pipes are separated and provide with 2,5"/63,50mm each, compared to the 55mm and 45mm standard pipes, for maximum flow and best possible reduction of the exhaust back pressure. The upper exhaust stream flows permanently through the silencer, which already reduces the fundamental tone compared to the other silencer versions. The lower exhaust stream flows (with the valve open) directly into the tailpipe, while with the valve closed the complete exhaust stream is first directed through the silencer. Due to the pipe diameter of 2.5" / 63.50mm and the special large-volume, triangular silencer design, operation with a permanently closed valve is possible even under full load.

SUPER SOUND: With the exhaust valves open, loud, as an exhaust stream 63.50mm/2.5" flows non silenced into the tailpipes.
SOUND: With exhaust valves closed 63.50mm / 2.5" silenced pipe flow through silencer.

Version X-pipe / RACING - Combination of X-pipe with merged exhaust flow and silencer:

The RACING silencer is the extreme variant with a combination of X-pipe and small bypass silencer. Unlike the CLUBSPORT / TOURING variant, with separate gas routing, an X-pipe construction with merged exhaust routing is used here, in conjunction with a small, oval silencer in the bypass exhaust flow for reasons of space. With the exhaust valves open, the pure unfiltered exhaust gas flow from the double-flow OPF outlets is also directed into the main merged exhaust gas flow. Due to the smaller oval silencer, operation with permanently closed valves under full load is not possible in conjunction with our 3-mode exhaust valve control!

RACING SOUND: With the exhaust valves open, aggressive, sharp sound as both exhaust streams 63.50mm/2.5" and 50.80mm/2" flow through the X-pipe non silenced into the tailpipes.
SOUND PLUS: With closed exhaust valves 50.80mm / 2" silenced pipe routing through silencer.

All three silencer versions can also be fitted with our slip-on silenced tailpipes if required for use on noise-restricted racetracks.

SS304L lightweight stainless steel, manufactured to the highest standards for the aircraft industry, forms the basis for almost every CARGRAPHIC exhaust component. Each silencer and exhaust pipe is manufactured using traditional craftsmanship with the support of state-of-the-art manufacturing technology such as computer-controlled CNC bending machines, laser cutting machines or orbital welding equipment.
